Choosing your foundation - By Sissylove85

Hello everyone!
Here I am with a brand new post about choosing of foundation.

First of all, I invite you to read the article on the face skin (face skin) in order to understand what your skin type, and can accordingly choose the best type of foundation for you. Now let's see what are the existing types of foundation:
  • Liquid or cream: it's good for those who have from dry to combinated skin. There are many formulations of liquid foundation; for example the lifting foundation (it fill the wrinkles and make the skin look more taut), those with a higher degree of hydration, and the matting ones.
  • Sticks: use it if your skin is normal or combinated. The downside of this product is that you have to work it a lot to get a good result.
  • Compact: you can use it, no matter how is your skin type.
  • Mineral powder: also called MMU (mineral make up), is good for those who have normal to oily skin. At the moment it is my favorite type of foundation, and the main reason is that it does not contain chemical ingredients harmful to the skin, so it gives no allergies, doesn't clog pores and is good for the skin. The downside is that it does not have the same coverage as other types of foundation, but this can be overcome by using a primer (possibly free of harmful substances near, otherwise it would make more sense to use the mineral foundation) or by multiple passes of the product.
  • Colored cream: not to be confused with the super famous BB cream, is a moisturizer with color pigments, so nothing easier to do at home! Take a drop of your moisturizer and mix it with a drop of foundation or with a little of mineral dust
  • BB Cream: the quintessential trick. I love all the madness that promise the BB cream: illuminates and evens out the complexion, minimizes blemishes, moisturizes the skin and has a solar filter. The real problem is to find the BB cream that really keep all these promises. But if the magic happen, is the best thing that could happen!
Once you understand the type of foundation is best for you, it's time to figure out the color to acquire, but how? You have to understand the tone (main color) and the undertone (background color) of your skin. Tone and undertone are mainly two:
  • Cold: It 'clear, pinkish veins in the arm are tending to blue.
  • Hot: It 'darker yellow and the veins in the arm tend to greenish.
It can also happen to have a clear skin with a yellow undertone or dark skin with pink undertone, in all cases, what matters is the undertone, so when you go to choose the foundation of the latter keep in mind: if you have a yellow undertone choose a pinkish foundation, while if your undertone is pink pick one tending to yellow. This is because the perfect complexion is the result of the balance between the two colors, so if a person with pink undertone to take a pinkish foundation would be out of the effect 'Child's Play', and if a person with yellow undertone foundation took a yellow seems to be a Jerseylicious style mask of self-tanner... Careful therefore your undertone!

When you go to buy the foundation, the ideal would be to use the neck to test the product, but we all know that it wouldn't be nice to walk around with a thousand strips of different colors on the face, and then what? Using the inside of the arm! Exactly where are the veins, try a small amount of the product: the one that best covers the veins and leaves no streaks around, that conforms to the rest of the skin is the color for you. Attention only to the lights that are in the stores, a lot changes colors, so severely, are generally cold lights, the exact opposite of natural light.

As a final trick I invite you to take into account, as always, the season in which you find yourself: it is clear that if you plan to tan in the summer and the foundation that you have purchased in the winter will not give the same result. Personally I do not like to wear makeup your face in the summer, but if any of you can not do without, consider whether or not to buy a second foundation, although for me the game is not worth the candle!
I hope I've cleared up any doubts and to have been of help! As always if you have any questions I'm here!
Bye to all and see you soon!
